12 Weeks!

Not a whole lot of changes this week, so no questionnaire.  BUT we had our 12 week NT scan which was AWESOME!!!  Baby was jumping, flipping, waving, kicking!  It was great to see!  The tech couldn't even get the measurements she needed at first cuz baby was actually doing log rolls!  So fun!  Then baby finally calmed down and possibly went to sleep.  The last thing she had to do was look at the nasal bone, but she couldn't because baby had it's had resting on it's nose with all fingers extended.  So stinkin cute!  They said baby was measuring perfect (12w5d compared to my dates of 12w1d).  And the neck measurements came out good too.  Here's a couple pics that we got - it's a real baby!!

Also the best news of this week is that the cat is officially out of the bag (no, not Clyde)!  Dan told his entire softball team, I told a big group of my friends and we posted it on FB...which of course you know, makes it really official ;)  So now we are on a telling spree!  I plan to tell work this coming week, at 13 weeks.  So we'll see how that goes.

BABY P!

We are happy to announce we are expecting a little Baby P!  Estimated arrival is January 2nd; a New Years Baby!  Since I've been a pretty big slacker with posting any home improvements we've been doing, I'm turning this into more of a blog about Baby P.  Stay tuned for bump pictures, how I'm feeling, and maybe some ultrasound pics!

11+ Weeks

How far along? 11 weeks 1 day

Maternity clothes? Still just pants.  Hoping to not need any summer shirts, probably just some fall and winter stuff.

Exercising: Trying to walk as much as I can with Dano.  Still in yoga and plan to continue.  My yoga class is not "prenatal", but there's lots of preggo girls in it all the time, and the teacher is great with us.  It is getting a little sad that there's more and more things I can't or shouldn't do, and it's only going to get worse as I get a real belly!

Stretch marks? Not yet.

Sleep: Sleeping pretty good!  Feel like I've gotten my energy back too!!!  Yay to almost 2nd trimester!

Best moment this week: The start of Dano's 10 day vacation!  We're not doing anything or going anywhere, but it will be nice to just have him around and not be SO sleepy!!

Have you told family and friends: It's slowly slowly spreading.  My 12 week ultrasound is coming up this week and then we are really going to let loose!

Miss Anything? Just the same stuff, wine, really working out.  Realizing no rollercoasters or waterslides for me this summer....not that we had any planned...

Movement: Not yet.

Food cravings: Not much really.  The sweet cravings seem to be lessening.  I'm really just hungry all the time now, I could just eat all day.  And mostly eat bad stuff.  I do love fruit right now though.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Same: tuna, coffee, cold cuts/subs - I think that might last the whole time :(

Have you started to show yet: Still not sure.  There is a pooch there, but it could still just be fat.  Hopefully it will be getting more defined in the next few weeks!

Gender prediction: Now I'm 50/50.  No idea!

Labor Signs: Nope

Belly Button in or out? In and it better stay that way!  I HATE belly buttons!!

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Think I've been happier lately.  I'm definitely feeling the 2nd trimester relief already and thank God for that!

Looking forward to: My ultrasound on Thursday!!!!  I'm so so so excited to see the nugget again!!!  It should look like a real baby this time and be moving around!

Not loving: Headaches!!!  I have one pretty much everyday without fail.  A lot of times I even wake up with it and it doesn't let up all day :(  Plus the stuffy nose and sneezing is enough; I've never had allergies either.

Quick Update!

Wow, so far I have sucked at this blog thing!  Not TOO much has happened in the past few months; but below is a summary, starting in early April.

A friend of mine at work just recently had her baby girl!  Back in April she invited me to her baby shower, unfortunately I couldn't make it, so I had to make her an AWESOME gift!  I found this idea on Pinterest of course.  Baby onesie cupcakes!!

The cupcake part is a receiving blanket which is rolled around the onesie that is the frosting!  The whole thing is rubberbanded and placed into a coffee filter for the wrapper and tied with a ribbon.
I have to say, they turned out even cuter than I thought!  Then I put all 4 of them into a bakers box and tied it up cute with a ribbon!
Here's the best part, my preggers friend had been told she couldn't eat any more sugar for the rest of her pregnancy (this is not the best part yet), so she was pretty bummed about that.  So when I told her I had "baked her some cupcakes" as her gift, the look on her face was priceless!!
She loved them!!  AND they are completely sugar-free :)

Tried to spend one Saturday in organization mode, but Clyde had other ideas.  I went out and bought some organizing things for my pantry, well Clyde decided they worked out much better as a new bed for him!  That little bugger!  I did eventually put the basket to use, but the metal shelf under it (I am somewhat ashamed to say) still sits on our kitchen table and is used as Clyde's perch.

This picture didn't turn out that great, but it was my father-in-law's birthday, so we took him and my mother-in-law to a Brewer game!  I called ahead to have his name listed on the birthday list during the game; on the right, about 7 up from the bottom: Mark Mad Dog Priewe!!  He loved it!

Then, the next day was SKYDIVING!!!!  I am sorry to say there are no actual pictures of us in the sky :(  You could only pay over $100 and have an entire video taken of the whole thing, not just one picture.  So unfortunately none of us did that.  This is 3 of us in "class" beforehand.  The teacher would tell us things like "if you don't do this, you'll die" and I would bust out laughing!!  A little nervous maybe!!
Here is a before picture of the 5 that jumped.  Gotta love the color coordination and Rick's jumpsuit!!!
 Our plane.
If you look really, REALLY closely in the next 2 pics, you can see TINY dots in the sky, those are us!!  Dano was taking these from the ground.

We all made it and landed safely!

My friend, Kev, however, did not fare so well.  He is the one on the far right.  He definitely looked green and puked a bunch of times once we got down!  Poor Kev!
Another Brewers Game; awesome seats, courtesy of my brother's work!
Another friend had a baby, a boy this time.  So I had to "bake" some more cupcakes!

Terrible, distant flash, camera picture; but Kev's wedding in early May.
One more for good measure of the little boo boo, looking very leggy.
And finally!  Our masterpiece!  When Dano moved into the house, there was a giant tree here threatening both our roof and our neighbor's roof.  So he had it taken out and then had the stump ground down.  We were left with still chunks of stump and a giant dirt patch.  So we decided to put in a little planter rather than trying to grow grass.
It turned out pretty awesome, but MAN was it a lot of work!!!  Dan was literally AXING stump remains out of the ground to get the stones to lay straight!  Lots of trips to the hardware store, a long day at the garden center and lots of blood sweat and tears (quite literally).  But it's beautiful AND our plants are still living!!

Well that's it for now, that is maybe half of what our last few months were really like, but you get the gist.  More to come soon!

10 Weeks!!

Pretty sure the rounding "pooch" in this picture is sadly just me fat, and not baby yet :(

How far along? 10 weeks 2 days

Maternity clothes? Living in my 2 pairs of maternity work pants; so, doing a lot of laundry!  I think shirts are going to be good for a while, but I've always struggled with having comfy pants.

Exercising: Zumba is over :( which is sad and happy.  Sad that I don't have that extra hour of sweatin and dancin, but happy to have another night free during the week.  Hopefully my friend and I will pick Zumba back up in the fall.  Other than that, hubby and I have been pretty good with our walking and trying to go on longer ones too.  Still in yoga and plan to continue throughout.

Stretch marks? Not yet.

Sleep: Sleeping much better than I was at first, but average pees per night is about 3.  I hate HATE HATE going pee in the middle of the night!  Before I would always make sure to pee right before I was about to go to sleep and I'd usually be good, if I did wake up and have to pee, I would be SO MAD!  So this has definitely sucked!

Best moment this week: I'm currently writing this about 2 weeks later, so I don't recall :(

Have you told family and friends: Told some more family this week; Dan's grandparents, so then we also had to tell his Uncle.  It slowly seems to be spreading, but we are SO close to the 12 week mark and our 12 week scan, that I'm trying to stick it out until then to really let loose.

Miss Anything? I took some sniffs of my brother's beer at my younger brother's graduation party this weekend, haha.  I also am realizing I really really miss working out, I mean REALLY working out, going for a long sweaty run, doing tons of squats and arm lifting, doing bootcamps.  I really did used to bust my butt and it always makes me feel so much better.  I think part of why I'm feeling crappy a lot is because I can't REALLY workout.  Funny how you hate it when you can and have to do, and when you shouldn't really be doing it, you really do miss it.  It will be a long time before I can do any of that again :(

Movement: Not yet.

Food cravings: Still sweet stuff a lot.  I've been wanting a muffin for a long time, yes a muffin, but haven't gotten it yet.  And someone mentioned Taco Bell recently, so I've been dreaming about that.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Still tuna, coffee, cold cuts/subs...don't think there's anything new to add to that, which is good.  And I've been feeling less sick lately, so I'm hoping that's on it's way out!

Have you started to show yet: I just don't know!  I can still suck most of it in, but the part just below my belly button is starting to round ever so slightly and I cannot suck it all way the way in, so hopefully that's the beginning of my bump!

Gender prediction: Starting to lean more towards girl, but I don't want to get my hopes up TOO much, cuz I might POSSIBLY want a girl just a little bit more than a boy.  Obviously I'll be happy either way, but growing up with 3 younger brothers, I NEED someone to put in pink!!!  I do however always call "him", "he" and "him" when I talk about "him", so take that for what it's worth.

Labor Signs: Nope

Belly Button in or out? In and it better stay that way!  I HATE belly buttons!!

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Think I've been a BIT more moody lately :/  Hubby would definitely say I have.  I just get annoyed very easily and Dano knows the EXACT buttons to push to make me mad, he does it purposely cuz he thinks it's funny, and most of the time I do too, because I probably do overreact and then we both laugh.  BUT when I'm not in control of my hormones or emotions or what I say or do...not so funny anymore, I've been trying to get him to understand this and tell him that since he knows my buttons and CAN control how he acts maybe HE should because II can't!

Looking forward to: Next weeks 12 week ultrasound!!!  I can't wait to see the little bugger again and hopefully moving and flipping around!  We decided to do the 12 week NT scan which tests for Down's syndrome and another type of syndrome I can't remember.  A lot of people opt against this, but I mainly just want to see "him" again and make sure "he's" growing and everything.  Plus if "he" does have something, or a chance of having something, I'd want to be better prepared by knowing.

Not loving: Really bad headaches and this just in; HORRIBLE backache!  All of a sudden it just HIT me at work one day!  I sit at a desk mostly and don't remember straining or anything, so it was very random, but really bad, by the time I went to bed that night I was in tears from the pain.
